Bogdan Alin Ota, a pianist from Botosani, stunned Scandinavians singing a composition on its own at the preselection’s organized in Oslo for the show "Norwegians got talent" in 2011. With three “Yes”-is obtained from the jury, the 32 years old singer, set by 8 months in Norway, qualified for the next stage of the competition.
The artist speaks passionately about music, about the nights when he puts his head on the pillow at three o'clock in the morning and wakes up an hour later, as he dreamed "musical sounds" to quickly write them on the portative. He doesn’t conceive life without music, such as life without air.
The story of his life begins in Botosani when he was just seven years old. Born into a family of doctors Bogdan Ota began studying music alone, having found "above the closet, a dusty old guitar on which his father sang in his youth." He tells how, gradually, gradually it seemed interesting "to produce sounds". After a while, he realized that everything he does is insufficient and that he wants to study the keyboard, graduating the University of Arts "George Enescu" in Iaşi.
He says he left Romania for purely economic causes. He went to Norway where, the artist said "I applied for all kinds of jobs, including mechanic. I was not accepted anywhere. I was in a hopeless situation. Finally, I was accepted to a firm as porter for professional printers. During my free time I was writing and playing the piano. My boss enrolled me without my knowledge to the show Norwegians got talent. He just came and told me that I should report to auditions."
Five years from "The Norwegians got talent", Bogdan Ota came to have its own orchestra of 35 professional instrumentalists. Next to them, he sings on big stages and states that finally he does what he likes.
