The magic of Christmas begins with the 1st December, the National Day of Romania, when the mayor of the city turns on the lights of all the Christmas decorations. Every year is a moment eagerly awaited by both children and adults, but this year the lights have exceeded expectations.
In the center of Bucharest there have been turned on 3 million LED lights that make Christmas decorations in 52 different places, over a distance of 29 km. A record that made her win the third place in the ranking of the "14 most glittering European cities you must see at Christmas", according to Msn.com.
Paris ranks first, Berlin the second, Bucharest ranks the third being followed by Budapest, Copenhagen, Krakow, Edinburgh, Helsinki, London, Madrid, Prague, Rome, Warsaw and Moscow.
