The most beautiful and shady terraces in Bucharest

When it’s hot outside and you are in the center of the city heated by the sun, you are looking for a cool, shady and pleasant place which protects you from heat and gives you the relaxation you need. For starters here are some of the terraces that confer a particularly ambience with greenery, trees, plants and bowers, situated in courtyards and gardens of Bucharest.

"Grădina Eden" or the Garden of Eden - as the name suggests, this terrace is like a slice of heaven in the heart of the city, behind the Ştirbei Vodă Palace on Calea Victoriei. Freshness, greenery, hammocks, places where kids can romp, cool drinks, a place that gives relaxation and cheerfulness.

La Copac” or At the tree - here, the central element is represented by the mulberry tree which is in the middle of the courtyard, under which you can delight with a refreshing drink, listening oldy music. The wooden furniture and the greenery surrounding fit well with the desire of coolness and nature. A nice place on the Pitar Moş street, in the center of the town, but protected from the noise and heat.

Ota - located a little further from the hubbub of the city center, this terrace brings a plus of quiet abd coolness for the bohemians with the artistic inclinations. The chirping of birds, the scent of flowers and the objects of art are some of the attractions of this terrace situated in the garden of a house in the Cotroceni district.

Verona - a large urban garden in the center of the town, but hidden from the bustle of the city.  An open area, surrounded by greenery, a space covered in case of rain, hammocks and a beautiful lawn, walls made from wattles with hanging lanterns that in the evening spread magical light, are some elements that define this garden.

J'ai Bistrot - a courtyard, an old house and a beautiful garden, on Calea Grivitei, with tables placed under the canopy of vines, with hammocks hanging from trees, green spaces, coolness and the feeling that you are in your home garden.

Other terraces situated near lakes which offer a refreshing breeze, or up on high buildings, with a fabulous panoramic visibility over the city, are waiting to be discovered.
