Foreign investors are building an Eco resort in Romania

Romania's natural beauty has convinced a number of foreign investors to lay the foundations of a project aimed at creating an Eco resort in the heart of Transylvania

Eco resort in Romania

The story is already a classic one for Romania. Several foreign tourists spent their holidays in Transylvania and were fascinated by the beauty of the place. They came back and decided to invest in the country, being convinced that the magic of the virgin nature surrounding the rural areas of Transylvania would definitely captivate other visitors as well.

Their initiative began to take shape once several other investors, both Romanian and foreign, joined in, confident that the establishment of a so-called Eco resort will be successful. The project was later contracted in Vama Buzăului, a locality in the Braşov county, where 68 modern ecological houses will be built. The value of the investment is estimated at EUR 15 million, and the project will be completed by the end of 2020.

The newly created settlement has already received a name - Valley 21, and the houses that will be built here will be in perfect harmony with the environment, bearing a design inspired by the traditional dwellings in the mountainous areas of Romania. They will be equipped with photovoltaic panels for electricity and hot water, the grid being connected directly to the springs in the area.

The usable area of the buildings will be between 92 and 118 square meters, and will comprise a living room, a terrace, two or three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The houses will be spread over the entire surface of the valley so as to better fit in the landscape and also to provide as wild of a view as possible to each owner. The sale price for each individual building will be between EUR 167,500 and EUR 285,000, but some will also be available for tourists to rent.

In addition to the 68 homes, the resort will also benefit from a residential complex located right at the entrance into Valley 21. This will house the Eco home care center, as well as a café and a restaurant that will offer customers products and recipes specific to the area.
