A 5-star hotel in Timisoara

Timișoara is one of the most important cities in Romania. It is an important poleof attraction both in terms of tourism and in terms of business. However, the city does not benefit from a five-star hotel. Obviously, gossipers argue that this proves the city is not as important as it likes to think it is.

However, if we look at the investments made in Timișoara recently and the perspective of the city being a European cultural capital, a title which Timișoara obtained for 2021, it is clear that the urban atmosphere is a vibrant one and that regardless of its importance so far, Timișoara will surely become increasingly recognized worldwide once it acquires the respective title.

Consequently, the city finds itself in a continuous process of revitalization and renewal both from the point of view of culture, or tourism, but also from the perspective of  infrastructure and business. The most plausible example is probably the ISHO complex, a complex that aims to transform a derelict area of ​​the city into a modern, vibrant neighborhood, which may also serve as a business area of unprecedented importance for the West of the country.

Therefore, what better place to build a five star hotel than that. That's probably what Rezidor Group, the owner of the Radison Blue brand name, was thinking as well when it proposed its brand to Timișoara. Upon negotiations, the company's representatives came to an agreement with Mulbery Development, the company behind the ISHO project, which agreed to integrate a five-star hotel as part of the complex.

According to initial information, the hotel will have 160 rooms and will be completed by 2020, just in time for the grace year “Timișoara, Culture Capital of Europe 2021”. The positioning of the hotel is also excellent, being close to the city center but close to the office spaces which are to be housed by the ISHO complex. Thus, the investment will offer a viable option to both tourists and businessmen interested in either visiting or investing in Timișoara.
