Children songs on Youtube, a Romanian business

Children have a strong word to say in the household. That's why billions are being invested in ad campaigns for children. The products or services that target them are all the more successful if they manage to capture the child's attention. In this respect, a Romanian couple found a very simple way to raise the interest of the children. Using Youtube, one of the most popular online platforms, they brought the most famous Romanian children's songs to the homes of Romanian people. Although it seems extremely trivial, the key to success was the animations accompanying these songs. Through them, the child's attention is captured at both audio and visual levels.

Beginning in 2012, the business was far from profitable at the time. Basically, the first songs uploaded to Youtube were more or less to test the waters and see the reaction of the public. Obviously, that reaction was not overwhelming, but traffic existed, so the two entrepreneurs continued to publish content on their channel. However, the uploads were irregular, and the business seemed more like a hobby. Well, as of 2014, the channel exploded, and from then on, it started publishing monthly content.

Suggestively called TraLaLa, the channel is the most watched YouTube channel for children in Romania with an audience of 5 million users and 1.5 billion views. The two-man company, Mora TV, manages the TraLaLa, Boon Boon and LooLoo Kids Youtube channels, which together accumulate more than 20 million watts each day, according to its creators.

Monetizing this huge amount of views is done by incorporating advertisements in uploaded clips. Since 2016, the company has moved to the next level in this regard, establishing partnerships with companies for product placements. Income, however, does not go directly to the content creators because the money earned through the platform is shared with Google, the Youtube holder, who retains no less than 55% of its revenue.
