To fight this kind of pretense, the product called “Fresh din mere de Iteşti” was developed. Unlike many of the other products that are allegedly completely natural, Fresh din mere de Iteşti contains no added water, sugar or preservatives – just apple juice.
Moreover, the juice is made only from Romanian apples that grow in an orchard in the Iteşti commune, near Bacau. The orchard was planted in 1984 and the apples are of Romanian breeds, unmodified genetically. The area is characterized by fruitful soil, perfect for fruit tree plantations.
The first question we have to ask is how do they do it? The answer is that they use a pneumatic press and a state-of-the-art pasteurizer to extract the juice. Then, the liquid is packaged using the PouchUp technique, which entails the use of a bag made from three layers and coated on the inside with a metalized film. This type of sealing ensures that the juice does not make contact with the air and bacteria, so that it can stay fresh for up to 30 days after it is opened.
Fresh din mere de Iteşti is considered one of the healthiest juices on the Romanian market and has been well received abroad as well. Fresh din mere de Iteşti participated at the “World of private label” in Amsterdam, where it was so appreciated by consumers, that the team was invited at the SIAL (The Global Food Marketplace) in Paris. And the website foodingredientsfirst.com chose the brand as the first in a top of 10 innovations in the international food industry.
In the beginning, the brand produced only apple juice, but they have introduced other types since then. After the apple juice, came the orange juice, made from Murcia (Spain) oranges and recently, they have introduced some exciting fruit and vegetable combinations, like the apple and carrot juice, or the apple and currant juice.
