Located in Apahida, Cluj County, Sunimprof Rottaprint is the largest Romanian flexographic printing house producing self-adhesive labels. The business is a thriving one, with the company being extremely well positioned not only on the Romanian market, but also at a European level. Rottaprint has, in addition to the four logistics centers in the country, two other such centers, one in Hungary and one in Germany, employing no less than 250 employees. Moreover, the company's products are present in 14 countries including the United States and severalAsian countries.
For the year 2017, the company announced a turnover of approximately EUR 20 million, recording a 21% increase compared to the previous year. Also in 2017, the company announced a 10% client increase compared to 2016. Success seems to continue in 2018, with Rottaprint having a 7% increase in turnover compared to 2017, and things seem to remain on an upward trend, especially in the long run, due to a strategy of investment in technology and software. This investment strategy was launched in 2013 and entails spending no less than EUR 18 million on certain software and technological elements designed to improve workflow, product quality, as well as helping the introduction of new products into the production line.
Once implemented, these technological impulses should theoretically propel the company even further on the European and even on the global market, with the aim of significantly increasing the company's exports, which currently stand at 24%.
