What do you expect from RO-Wine I The International Wine Festival of Romania 2019 in Cluj Napoca?

Oprisor Cellar– we hope that RO-Wine Festival 2019 of Cluj Napoca will succeed to re-state the quality standards of the Romanian wines, unique and irreplaceable as aromatic structure and taste. The Romanian cellars are nowadays capable to offer diversity, creativity and singularity to the wines produced in their own vineyards. The international competitiveness of the Romanian wines quality is proved by numerous assessments during the last years. We, the producers have only to consolidate the image of our products by events like RO_Wine and to improve the communication regarding the position of the Romanian wines among the “best value” products.    

Which wine do you recommend from your latest production?

Oprisor Cellar – JIANA Rosé 2018 is the most complex rosé wine-blending that Oprisor Cellar has succeed to produce during the last years. It exult in youth sensations, fruity and harmony of tastes. The blending of Shiraz 77% and Pinot Noir 23% grants to JIANA Rosé wine a soft texture, firmly set in the dominant structure of fresh nuances of wild strawberries and raspberry. The taste carrier is long lasting, generous, refreshing.  

Which is the most difficult thing in wine preparation?

Oprisor Cellar – The wine production processes are extremely complex and challenging year after year. Any difficult step that we make brings a feeling of satisfaction due to our success. For example (one of many others)  one of the difficult processes is the so called “maceration” involving the environment, time and temperature elements in order to manage the transfer of colour, aroma, and tannins from the peel and the pips to the substance of must and wine.  The challenges of the oenologist are very complex, the target being the final wine, where we should find a pleasant balance, personality and character of each type of wine.     

Which is the most rewarding part of your profession?

Oprisor Cellar– The joy and the satisfaction after tasting the wines of Oprisor Cellar is the most valuable reward that we can receive from ur clients for which we cultivate the grapes and make wine in the living Oltenia.
