The city of Adamclisi is located on the national road Constanta - Ostrov, 65 kilometers from the Black Sea shore and it is part of the South Dobrogea Plateau. The name of the town is translated by the "church of the man" and here are numerous Roman archeological remains: inscriptions, necropolis, aqueducts and walls. The most famous monument is the Tropaeum Traiani, build by the emperor Traian in 109 AC.
Frâncu Winecellar is located near the Tropaeum Traiani monument in Constanța, it was established in 1998 and it has a cultivable area of 130 hectares. The winery has a modern construction with production hall, wine aging area, bottling area, laboratory and wine tasting area.
The processing technique is a gravitational type and for the aging there are used 1200 burned oak barrels, with medium and medium level burning plus. The cultivated varieties are: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Fetească Neagră, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
The grapes are hand-picked so as not to aggravate their quality and the vine is not chemically treated, only organically. The vineyard benefits fully from the qualities of the environment and the atmosphere (the area is included in the Natura 2000 protected natural area), offering a wine with Austria Bio Guarantee ecological certification.
The Adamclisi Vinfranca brand can be found in the wine ranges: Patrician, Symposion and 10 (Ten). Patrician - Cabernet Sauvignon - 2009 is an aged wine in oak barrels during one year and then in bottles during two years and four months. It received the gold medal in 2011 at the "Golden Grape" Festival and the bronze medal at the International Wine Guide Spain - 2013. Partician - Chardonnay - 2011 received the bronze medal in 2013 at the International Wine Guide Spain.
The Symposion is made of varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Fetească Neagră, Syrah and Chardonnay. Symposion - Cabernet Sauvignon - 2011 is aged in oak barrels during one year and it received in 2013 the gold medal at the International Wine Contest Bucharest. Symposion - Fetească Neagră - 2011 received the silver medal at the 2012 Mundus Vini International Wine Competition from Nuremberg and Symposion Syrah - 2011 received the silver medal at the same competition.
The range 10 (Ten) Cabernet Sauvignon - 2009 received the gold medal in 2011 at the "Golden Grapes" Competition.
The range "Bob cu bob" can be found in variants: Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Rose.
