Firstly, Casa Panciu produces a wide variety of quality and refined wines from grapes grown in a vineyard in Tifeşti village, Vrancea County. The domain is located at the foot of the Carpathians and framed by the River Putna in the west and the Şuşiţa River in the east. The qualities of the soil, the balanced humidity and the long exposure to sunlight make this land a propitious place to grow grapes. Moreover, the wines made here are very sparkling due to these features. In fact, the first sparkling wines in Romania were made in the ‘70s exactly at this vineyard.
The vineyard spans 120 hectares and is cultivated with famous French breeds, like Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon and beloved Romanian breeds like Fetească Albă, Fetească Regală or Fetească Neagră.
The most popular wines are Sagio, which come in the breeds of Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Fetească Neagră and Casa Panciu, which comes in all the breeds that grow in the vineyard.
Besides the vineyard, Casa Panciu also has an orchard where apples, pears and cherries are grown. The apple trees occupy 85 hectares and come in the following breeds: Elstar Elshof, Golden Delicios Reinders, Ionagold, Idared, Braeburn, Fuji and Granny Smith. The pear trees occupy 10 hectares and are of the breeds Conference, Abate Fetel and Doyenne du Comice. Finally, the cherry trees cover 4 hectares and are of the types Kordia and Regina.
This fruit is used to make 100% natural juices which are sold under the name ANA ARE. The juices are made through pasteurization at a temperature of 82°C and no water, preservatives or sweeteners are added. Moreover, the fruit is carefully selected by the staff to ensure the quality of the final product. Once finished, the juice is submitted to physical, chemical, microbiological and pesticide analyses which have so far proven the high quality of the products and their safety for consumption by children.
