"CuGust" is an editorial initiative having as goal to identify and develop the oeno-gastronomic characteristics in Romania, as well as the traditions and particularities of this territory. The gastronomic guide, actually the first of its kind in Romania, proposes to go deeper into the subject of hospitality in the field of tourism in Banat and to create a cultural movement centred upon local cuisine, partially unknown till now.
The more than 50 restaurants presented in the guide bring to the foreground the distinctive feature of each one of them, proposing an innovative hospitality which should comprise and reunite ambiance, services and information about a region, becoming in this way a real Custodian.
The kitchen and the restaurants are not only instruments and places where one can eat well and experience moments of conviviality, but also modern instruments of valorisation the area, culture, tradition and its protagonists.
In restaurants’ kitchens the memory and local products are presented with innovation and creativity, harmoniously interlinked with tourism and knowledge circulation. International cuisine receives a new space as well, with many reinterpretations, often tradition loyal, but also with new flavours and tastes.
In this way, the restaurant becomes a place in which past meets present and future, determining the cultural and social identity of the territory.
"CuGust" presents itself as the edition of the year 2018, assigning an important space to a new vision, which exceeds the boundaries of the local and nation’s specific cuisine but which, in the same time, will be able to find fertile ground to develop itself in everything hospitality means.
