Prince Știrbey Winery was established in 2002 and it represents three generations of winemakers who have passed on the secrets of a perfect wine and the care for nature. Descendant of Prince Barbu Știrbei, Ileana Constantinescu married to Baron Jakob Kripp, she recovered the family estates confiscated by the Communists and developed the winery by bringing in the German oenologist, Oliver Bauer, who concentrated his activity on the production of wines from pure, traditional grapes varieties.
The estate has several vineyards: Via Șirbey (Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc), Via Bibescu (Cabernet Sauvignon, Novac, Negru de Drăgășani), Via Bengescu (Cramposie Selectionata), Via Moraru (Sauvignon Blanc), Via Tiberie (Dry Tamaioasa Romaneasca), Via Pencovici (Feteasca Regala, Sweet Tamaioasa Romaneasca ), Via Foisor (Negru de Dragasani, Cramposie Selectionata, Novac).
