The story tells that during the reign of King Vlad the Impaler, the idlers became too many. They had to eat to live, because the stomach is asking for food. And to find something to eat, they were walking and begging, and when they were asked why they do not work, they use to respond that what they were doing was already a work and that in any case, they could not find employment.
Others responded that some professions, like the shoemaker or tailor, were poorly paid and, after a lifetime of work, those who practiced these trades will remain poor. Others said that they would be willing to be a servant, but, at the same time, they prayed not to find a master.
Hearing all this, the King Vlad the Impaler thought that these people were useless to the world and that begging was a type of robbery. The thief, although he was very determined, you can still get rid of him, but of beggars, you cannot protect yourself. They will slowly take away your goods by begging, but they will always take it away by attacking you gently, while the thief is aggressive. So King Vlad the Impaler decided that beggars are more dangerous than thieves.
"Eradicate this kind of people from my country!" - scream the king.
And after thinking about how to clean the country of lazy and beggars, he decided to bring all these people to his court, promising them food and clothes. All idlers came in Targoviste, some of them wondering why Ţepeş had become suddenly so generous. They all sat at the royal table... Here, only good wine and good food.
The beggars and idlers got drunk to the point that they could no longer talk. And the moment they could no longer understand each other, they realized that the room was burning of four parts. The King had ordered his servants to set fire to the house.
,, Screams, shouts, groans were coming out of the mouth of all those who were locked inside. But what could the flame know about human complains? They were hugging and asked for help. But there was no human ear to hear them. (...) When the fire ceased, there was no living human soul. "
The story says that even after this episode beggars and idlers have not disappeared. They will disappear only with the world ...
